Re: Deuce Bello (2011, SF, **** Scout)

Interesting, you think the Wolestein Center Impressed him? I think so. This is good recruiting on Waters part, this kid will dominate the HL if we can sign him. One when one 4 Star player signs, it's like an avanlanche;keep in mind these players talk and i'm sure he has friends,if GW can pull the trigger and sign this kid he won't be the last 4 star we sign in 2011. Imagine having Denson,Bello,Johnson, and Grady in forest green and white. This is the most agressive recruiting I've seen at Cleveland State; Hope it pays off. He's recruiting against the Big East in their own backyard. If GW can pull this off WOW!!!!

Getting Bello would be a long shot. However, I do believe that Geron Johnson is a legitimate possibility for the Vikes.

Geron Johnson does NOT have the grades to play DI next season and will either play at a JUCO or a prep school. Same thing with Demetrius "Tree" Treadwell of Euclid.

So, I wouldn't get my hopes up of either of these players playing with the Vikings next year.

If Johnson had the grades he would likely be at a high-major not CSU.

If we didn't have a chance of landing Bello, Waters wouldn't have offered him. He did play at the Wolestein Center, he may have been impressed with the arena. If we can steal him out of NC, which will be hard, it be a major coup for Waters.

I can also see us landing Johnson. Whether he has the grades or not. The coaching staffhas really stuck by him. :D

I agree Tom, he will not be playing at CSU next year, but I do believe with the Dunbar connections and CSU that we may see him down the road playing for CSU.

The only way Johnson ends up at WSU or CSU is if one of us convinces him to enroll next year as a non-qualifier and earn a scholarship as a sophomore. If he goes to a prep school or Junior college, neither one of has a prayer at signing him. He will end up at a high major.
